State-owned MTNL was the largest loser within the section because it misplaced 29,857 prospects. It was adopted by BSNL, which misplaced 19,781 wireline prospects, Tata Teleservices 9,444, VIL 3,727 and Reliance Communications 275 prospects.
Within the cellular telephony or wi-fi section, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel added 1.65 million and 1.28 million prospects, respectively. BSNL, VIL and MTNL mitigated the expansion within the section by shedding 1.48 million, 1.35 million and a couple of,960 cellular subscribers, respectively.
The broadband subscriber base within the nation grew to 839.18 million in January from 832.2 million in December.
“High 5 service suppliers constituted 98.39 per cent market share of the full broadband subscribers on the finish of January-23. These service suppliers have been Reliance Jio Infocomm (434.02 million), Bharti Airtel (237.40 million), Vodafone Thought (125.03 million), BSNL (27.05 million) and Atria Convergence (2.14 million),” TRAI mentioned.
